Renewable Energy Institute will host REvision2026 on 11 March 2026.
Fifteen years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake and the accident at the Tokyo Electric Power Company’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. These events prompted a fundamental reexamination of Japan’s energy policy and led to a wide range of initiatives aimed at electricity system reform and energy transition. Over the same period, decarbonization has advanced significantly around the world. In recent years, however, growing geopolitical instability has brought renewed attention to the importance of energy security.
REvision2026 will look back on the past 15 years in Japan and globally, and discuss the future direction of energy systems and prospects for the years ahead. We look forward to welcoming many participants.
