In April 2018, Renewable Energy Institute launched the "Renewable Energy Users Network" (RE-Users), a platform for corporate energy users to share information and best practices to accelerate renewable procurement in Japan. At the annual summit, speakers from companies and organizations that power their businesses with renewable energy, are invited to present and share the latest trends in Japan and the world.
This year's summit featured case studies by Seven & i Group, Amazon, and Dai-ichi Life Insurance; companies that are leading the way in converting their energy consumption to renewable sources, as well as recent trends in policies and market developments that encourage the expansion of renewable energy. In addition, a panel discussion which focused on the growth in PV deployment and cost reduction was held.
