| 【US】Decarbonizing Buildings in the U.S.: Policy, Procurement, and Practice |
|---|
The United States is entering a new phase in building decarbonization. While whole-life carbon policies are less established than in Europe, federal and state initiatives, green building certifications, public procurement, and growing demand for low-carbon materials are beginning to reshape the building industry.
In this webinar, a California-based sustainability consultant Amy Leedham from Atelier Ten introduced the latest U.S. policy landscape and shared how building life-cycle assessment is being integrated into design practice. The session explored low-carbon material procurement, green certifications, project challenges, and practical lessons that can help architects, manufacturers, developers, and policymakers prepare for Japan's transition to building LCA.
