F20 High-Level Forum in Tokyo
Heading towards a New Climate and Sustainable Economy
Shifting the Trillions for a Just Transition

13 June 2019

in Japanese

Renewable Energy Institute, together with F20(Foundations Platform F20)will host the 3rd F20 High-Level Forum in Tokyo on 13 June 2019 to discuss and determine the most pressing questions for the upcoming G20 summit in Osaka at the end of June, including pathways for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement to enable global climate action, renewable energy uptake and the building of resilient societies.
Under the title of “Heading towards a New Climate and Sustainable Economy – Shifting the Trillions for a Just Transition,” the F20 platform seeks to examine possible pathways towards an economy that is still geared for growth, yet embraces the opportunities of a long-term transition in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and towards a sustainable and low carbon economy that is capable of dealing with the risks posed by severe future climate change.
