- Peter Jørgensen
Vice President
Energinet - Peter Jørgensen has been employed in the Danish power supply industry for 30 years. He has been responsible for planning of the Danish electricity system as well as opening of the electricity market. He has represented Denmark in the international TSO organizations Nordel, ETSO and ENTSO-E with respect to system development and electricity markets. His current responsibilities include development of the international electricity infrastructure and electricity markets with focus on integration of renewable energy. Peter Jørgensen is in charge of Energinet’s subsidiary Energinet Associated Activities including Energinet’s international consultancy services.

- Matthias Bausenwein
General Manager for Asia Pacific
Ørsted - Matthias Bausenwein is General Manager of Ørsted for Asia Pacific and also Chairman of Ørsted Taiwan. He has extensive experience in offshore wind and was responsible for project development in Germany and Netherlands as well as development of emerging markets worldwide. Mr. Bausenwein holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration, with a focus on international management.

- Takuya Yamazaki
Director, Renewable Energy Division
Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE), Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) - After joining the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 1996, as the first assignment in METI, Takuya Yamazaki involved in the Second Electricity System Reform of Japan in 1999, which introduced retail competition and secured open access to transmission lines of incumbent power companies for new entrants. After that, Mr. Yamazaki has been assigned to a wide range of policy matters including building a scheme to promote entrepreneurship, establishing National Information Security Center to enhance Japan’s information security and developing FTA frameworks between Japan and Asian countries, and promoting the concept of exporting Japanese infrastructure business abroad such as water and power generation. In his current capacity since 2016, he has been tackling with the challenges to integrate renewable energy to the Japanese electricity market. He received BA in Law from Univ. of Tokyo in 1996 and MA in International Public Policy from School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) John’s Hopkins University in 2007.

Industry Promotion Division, Department of Industry, Labor and Tourism
Niigata Prefectural Government - Hideyuki Wakutsu joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 2009. After serving at the Energy Supply and Demand Policy Office at the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE), he worked at the Energy Strategy Office of ANRE in 2014 where he was involved in various policy design such as “Long-term Energy Supply and Demand Outlook”. In July 2017, he assumed his current position at the Niigata Prefectural Government, and has led renewable and next-generation energy policies to promote wind power generation, ocean energy, and methane hydrate resource development by taking full advantage of the region’s strengths and potential. He holds a BA in Law from the University of Tokyo in 2009 and a MPP from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy in 2016.

Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer
MHI Vestas Offshore Wind A/S - Masato Yamada joined Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) in 1987 and began his career in sales for thermal power plant projects, followed by onshore and offshore wind power projects within the Power Systems Unit. He played a key role in the establishment of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind A/S in 2014, a joint venture between MHI and Vestas Wind Systems. Since then, he assumes his current position as Vice president, Chief Strategy Officer and is responsible for developing business strategies, marketing and communications and public affairs, while at the same time, striving to expand deployment of sustainable offshore wind power generation technologies and building a bridge between Japan and Europe. He resides in the city of Aarhus, Denmark.

- Iku Sato
Senior Director, Energy Division, Toda Corporation - After graduating from Kyoto University in 1991, Iku Sato joined Toda Corporation and has been engaged in a wide range of projects related to design and construction of social infrastructures such as bridges, dams and tunnels. A major achievement has been the joint project to design the world's first hybrid-spar floating wind turbine platform, which was installed in 2013, making it Japan’s first and the world’s third commercial-scale floating offshore wind power facility. The evaluation and feasibility of the plant was completed and started commercial operation from March 2016. Since 2018, he is Senior Director at the Energy Division, and is responsible for driving and disseminating technological developments for decarbonization.

- Mika Ohabayashi
Director
Renewable Energy Institute - Mika Ohbayashi is a founding member and Director at Renewable Energy Institute since August 2011. Before joining the Institute, Ohbayashi worked for International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi as Policy and Project Regional Manager for Asia Oceania. She served as Deputy Director at Institute for Sustainable Energy Policies for 8 years since its establishment in 2000. She also worked for UKFCO at the British Embassy to Japan, as Advisor for Climate Change Projects and Policies before joining IRENA, and started her carrier in the energy field by joining Citizens' Nuclear Information Center in 1992. She coordinates many scientific study projects, takes leadership to team up various networks including national parliamentarians and local authorities, domestically and internationally to improve sustainable energy society. She was awarded the Global Leadership Award in Advancing Solar Energy Policy by the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) in 2017.
