Reinventing Fire: China
A Roadmap for China’s Revolution in Energy Consumption and Production to 2050, Executive Summary
31 January 2017

Renewable Energy Institute has released a Japanese translation of ‘Reinventing Fire: China, A Roadmap for China’s Revolution in Energy Consumption and Production to 2050, Executive Summary.’

In 2013, Rocky Mountain Institute, Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory joined forces and made an energy roadmap for China towards 2050 that would dramatically reduce environmental impacts while delivering the energy required to fuel China’s desired growth.

This executive summary, released in September 2016, contains the most important insights from three years of research, clearly demonstrating the possibility for China to realize continuous economic growth, tackle climate change, and solve air pollution through maximizing cost-effective energy efficiency and renewable energy.
