Energy Transparency Japan:
Activate Japan’s new energy future with private corporations’ initiatives
We would like to inform you of the Japanese launch of the Energy Transparency campaign in Tokyo on 20th June 2013, an event hosted by Vestas Wind Systems and supported by the Japan Renewable Energy Foundation.
A new global trend is emerging whereby corporations not traditionally linked to the energy sector are increasingly investing in Renewable Energy. They do so for a wide range of reasons: securing energy supply, hedging against the rising cost of energy, increasing brand value, etc. Investing in renewables is no longer just an environmental issue but also a sound business choice.
During 2012, Vestas, the global leader in wind energy solutions, launched the Energy Transparency Campaign with the aim of providing insights into corporate energy use. The Energy Transparency campaign brings a novel perspective to the interface between climate change and the corporate world. During the event, we will unveil the Corporate Renewable Energy Index (CREX) conducted by Bloomberg New Energy Finance and the Global Consumer Wind Study (GCWS) conducted by TNS Gallup, both commissioned by Vestas. This research reveals key findings about global consumer demand for renewable energy, details of how and why leading corporations source renewable energy and consumer sentiments towards brands which embrace renewable energy.
We hope that you will join us at this event where we will discuss how private corporations’ initiatives can activate Japan’s new energy future.
The following is the Energy Transparency event agenda. If you would like to attend, please register by email with your Full Name, Designation and Company to Sherlyn Ong, aspmarketing@vestas.com.
