    Hiroshi Takahashi
    Professor, Department of Community and Society, Tsuru University
    (Deputy Chair of Asia International Grid Connection Study Group)
    Hiroshi Takahashi specializes in public policy and energy policy. He obtained doctoral degree from the University of Tokyo and master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and currently serves as Professor at Tsuru University. His former career includes Deputy Director at IT Policy Office of Cabinet Secretariat, Assistant Professor at the University of Tokyo, and Research Fellow at Fujitsu Research Institute. He has actively participated in the policy formation of Japan’s electricity system reform and renewable energy deployment as a Member of Advisory Committee for Natural Resources and Energy as well as Special Advisor to the Cabinet Office. He is the author of "Energy Policy Studies" published in 2017 by Iwanami Shoten and “Market Liberalization of Electric Utilities” published in 2011 by Nihon Keizai Shinbun Shuppan-sha.

    General Manager, CEO Project Office SoftBank Group / Representative Director & CEO, SB Energy Corp.
    Shigeki (Sean) Miwa holds several positions concurrently including Director of Nemaska Lithium Inc. listed on the TSX, Canada (from 2018), Representative Director & CEO of SB Energy Corp. (from 2017), General Manager – CEO Project Office (from 2016) at SoftBank Group Corp., Board Member of the Renewable Energy Institute (from 2014), Representative Director & CEO of Bloom Energy Japan Ltd.(from 2013) and Director of Clean Energy Asia LLC (from 2012). Before joining SoftBank in 2011, he worked for Mitsui & Co. Ltd., from 1991 mainly in the natural resources and energy sector, based in Tokyo, Sydney and Brisbane.
    Mr. Miwa graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo with a BA in history, received a Master of Financial Management and an MBA from the Graduate School of Management, Macquarie University in Sydney, and completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School in Boston.

    Assistant Vice President of Power System Planning Department and Head of Supergrid Team, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO)
    Kab-ho Park has been working at Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) for over 30 years. He received a master’s degree from Yonsei University in 1993 and was a visiting scholar at Michigan State University in 2008. He currently leads Northeast Asia Supergrid strategy as Assistant Vice President in Power System Planning Department at KEPCO HQ. He has various experiences in electric cooperation field among Northeast Asian countries.

    Nobuo Tanaka
    Chairman, The Sasakawa Peace Foundation / Former Executive Director, International Energy Agency
    Nobuo Tanaka is Chairman of The Sasakawa Peace Foundation. He had been a former Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) from 2007 to August 2011. He began his career in 1973 in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and has served in a number of high-ranking positions, including Director-General of the Multilateral Trade System Department. He was Minister for Industry, Trade and Energy at the Embassy of Japan, Washington DC. He has also served twice as Director for Science, Technology and Industry (DSTI) of the Paris-based international organization, OECD.
  • Andrey Churkin
    Andrey Churkin
    Research Scientist, Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology
    Andrey Churkin graduated from National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute” where he studied optimization of power systems and power supply. Andrey has experience in the field of electrical distribution system control and operation. He participated in the integration of PSI control SCADA system in the Russian network. Andrey also took part in the development of substation training simulator on the basis of virtual reality and holds the patent. In Skoltech together with Prof. Janusz Bialek and Prof. David Pozo, Andrey works on the interstate electrical interconnection problem, particularly, analyzing Northeast Asia power systems
  • Mika Ohbayashi
    Mika Ohbayashi
    Director, Renewable Energy Institute
    Mika Ohbayashi is a founding member and Director at Renewable Energy Institute since August 2011. Before joining the Institute, Ohbayashi worked for International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi as Policy and Project Regional Manager for Asia Oceania. She served as Deputy Director at Institute for Sustainable Energy Policies for 8 years since its establishment in 2000. She also worked for UKFCO at the British Embassy to Japan, as Advisor for Climate Change Projects and Policies before joining IRENA, and started her carrier in the energy field by joining Citizens' Nuclear Information Center in 1992. She coordinates many scientific study projects, takes leadership to team up various networks including national parliamentarians and local authorities, domestically and internationally to improve sustainable energy society. She was awarded the Global Leadership Award in Advancing Solar Energy Policy by the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) in 2017.
