Heserved as the company's executive officer in 2014, managing executive of ficer in 2020, senior managing executive officer in 2021, and executive vice president in 2022, and was appointed representative director and executive vice president in 2023, a position he holds to this day. He has served as Vice President of the Japan Wind Power Association since June2022, and as President of the same association since February 2024.

- Pelayo Rodríguez
Head of Business Development for Japan and Asia Pacific, Ocean Winds - Pelayo Rodriguez Alonso is the Head of Business Development for Japan and Asia Pacific, for Ocean Winds (OW). Born out of a strategic alliance between EDP Renewables and ENGIE, Ocean Winds develops, finances, builds, and operates offshore wind farms all over the world. With a current portfolio of around 19 GW of gross capacity, Ocean Winds is a key leader in the global energy transition. Pelayo has been based in the Asia Pacific Region since 2010 and has experience in solar and wind energy. He holds an LLM from the University of Oviedo, a MIB from UPF Barcelona School of Management, and is a registered lawyer at Madrid Bar Association (ICAM).

- Takeshi Matsuki
Japan Country Manager, Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) - Takeshi Matsuki has served as Japan Country Manager for the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) since June 2025. Prior to that, he served as Senior Manager at Vena Energy, where he led offshore wind bidding strategies/preparation from Round 2 onward. Concurrently, he actively engaged in regulatory discussions and policy advocacy through industry associations. He began his career as an environmental engineer, then moved to a leading private think tank in Japan, where he spent many years conducting research and consulting in the fields of environment and energy. He gained a well-rounded perspective on industry development through secondments to a joint venture with JPOWER and to central government agencies, bridging both private and public sector viewpoints.

- Takashi Harada
General Manager for Ocean Renewable Energy Promotion Div., GX Administration Div., Toda Corporation - Takashi Harada has been General Manager of the Ocean Renewable Energy Promotion Division at Toda Corporation since 2019, where he leads business development in offshore wind projects in both domestic and international markets. He also serves as a liaison for international relations in the floating offshore wind sector. Prior to joining Toda Corporation in 2019, he spent over 20 years at Hitachi Ltd., holding senior positions in wind turbine sales engineering as well as semiconductor device engineering and development. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Osaka University.

- Mika Ohbayashi
Director, Renewable Energy Institute - Mika Ohbayashi is Director at Renewable Energy Institute since its foundation in August 2011. Before joining the Institute, from 2010 to 2011, she worked in Abu Dhabi for the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) as Policy and Project Regional Manager for Asia Oceania. Prior to that, she worked at the British Embassy to Japan as Climate Change Project Advisor from 2008 to 2009, and served as Director at the Institute for Sustainable Energy Policies from 2000 to 2008. She started her career in the energy field by joining the Citizens’ Nuclear Information Center in 1992. In 2017, she was awarded the ISES Global Leadership Award in Advancing Solar Energy Policy - in honour of Hermann Scheer by the International Solar Energy Society.

- Izumi Tanaka
Senior Researcher, Renewable Energy Institute - Izumi Tanaka joined Renewable Energy Institute in 2025. Before joining the institute, she was a Senior Commercial Officer at the Royal Danish Embassy Tokyo and supported market entry and business development of Danish companies in the fields of energy and the environment. She has also worked at the Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo as an analyst in sustainable development policy, as well as a researcher at Toshiba Corporation. Goodwill Ambassador of Ogata Village, Akita Prefecture, Certified Facilitator of 2030 SDGs Game. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management, College of Natural Resources, University of California and a Master's degree from the Graduate School of Environment Studies, Tohoku University.
At Renewable Energy Institute, she focuses on promoting the development of renewables such as offshore wind.
