The launching event of Japan Renewable Energy Foundation (JREF) was held on 12 September 2011, celebrating its official establishment, initiated by Masayoshi Son, Chairman and CEO of SoftBank Corporation.
In the wake of the Fukushima Nuclear Accident caused by the massive Earthquake and Tsunami disaster on 11th March, we are having serious discussions regarding the energy future in Japan. JREF will extend activities to accelerate renewable energy development in Japan, through researching, developing and advocating policies and business models, and building extended partnerships and networks.
