Japan Renewable Energy Foundation was established in Japan on August 12, 2011, and on November 1 in the same year we submitted the application to obtain public interest incorporated status.

As of February 15, 2012, Japan Renewable Energy Foundation has been approved as Public Interest Incorporated Foundation based on Act on Authorization of Public Interest Incorporated Associations and Public Interest Incorporated Foundations.
