Takeo Kikkawa Joins Renewable Energy Institute as New Council Member

Renewable Energy Institute announces the appointment of Takeo Kikkawa, President of the International University of Japan, as a Member of its Council.

Born in Wakayama Prefecture in 1951, Takeo Kikkawa graduated from the University of Tokyo with a degree in Economics and completed the required coursework for the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Economics, the University of Tokyo. He later received a Ph.D. in Economics.

After serving as Associate Professor at the School of Business, Aoyama Gakuin University, and later serving at the Institute of Social Science, the University of Tokyo; the Graduate School of Commerce and Management, Hitotsubashi University; the Graduate School of Innovation Studies, Tokyo University of Science; and the Graduate School of International Management, International University of Japan, he assumed his current position in 2023.

He is Professor Emeritus of both the University of Tokyo and Hitotsubashi University, and formerly served as President of the Business History Society of Japan and as a member of the Advisory Committee for Natural Resources and Energy.
