16 June 2021

in Japanese

Renewable Energy Institute (REI) is pleased to announce that it has been certified as equivalent to a U.S. Public Charity through NGOsource’s Equivalency Determination process in June 2021. The certification is valid through 31 March 2023 and our equivalency determination certificate is now on file in the “NGOSource” repository for US-based grantmakers to request and access.

This will enable Renewable Energy Institute to participate more easily in the grantmaking and bidding processes for funding projects in the United States. The Institute looks forward to the new funding opportunities this equivalency determination will bring to the organization and will continue to strengthen its efforts in making a meaningful impact on energy transition in Japan while establishing a sustainable society based on renewables.
