    Takejiro Sueyoshi
    Vice-Chair of Executive Board, Renewable Energy Institute
    Takejiro Sueyoshi was born on January 3, 1945 in Kagoshima, Japan. After graduating from University of Tokyo, he joined the Mitsubishi Bank (the Bank of Tokyo- Mitsubishi UFJ) in 1967 and worked for the bank until 1998. During his years with Nikko Asset Management as Deputy President, he was appointed as a member of the UNEP FI Steering Committee. In addition to the involvement in the UNEP FI activities in the Asia Pacific Region, he is giving many educational speeches about environmental problems and CSR/SRI in various government councils, seminars, universities and TV programs. He is a Trustee member of CDP(formerly Carbon Disclosure Project). He was a member of the Council for Japan’s Prime Ministers (Mr. Fukuda and Mr. Aso) on Climate Change Policy. He is CEO of Green Finance Organization Japan.
    His publications includes “Ondanka Kogi (A lecture on Global Warming)” (Toyo Keizai), “Yugai Rensa (Chain of Harmfulness)” (Gentousha), “Green New Deal” (Editor,Kankyou Shinbun), “Saishin CSR Jijyo( The Newest Book on CSR)” (Hokuseido).

    Division Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Planning Department Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc. / Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd.
    Masaaki Nagamura has been Division Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Planning Department at both Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc. and Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd., since August 2011.
    He helped the launch of the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI), an offspring of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) in June 2012. Prior to assuming the current position, he was involved in international insurance regulatory issues, between 2004 and 2011, as Manager in charge of international issues at Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire's Corporate Planning Department. Between 1997 and 2004, he was stationed in Chicago, Illinois, as an insurance account executive serving commercial clients in the U.S. Midwest.

    Ali oversees an analyst team focused on research and analysis of Japan’s energy sector. His prior experience includes working at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, and the fuel cell manufacturer, Ballard Power Systems. Ali has an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, and a Doctorate in Materials Science from Meijo University.

    Tsukasa Kanai graduated from Osaka University's school of law and joined the Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co., Ltd (now Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, SMTB) in 1983. After his experience at London branch, Pension Investment Department and so on, he has served as the Head Office Executive of Corporate Social Responsibility Office of the Corporate Planning Department since 2005. He was one of the founding members of the Corporate Social Responsibility Office in 2003, and now oversees all of the bank’s cross sectional CSR activities. He co-authored CSR related books, such as, "CSR Management", "CSR Management and SRI", "Financial CSR Overview", "SRI and New Company/Finance", "Introduction to Natural Capital".

    Tim Buckley has over 25 years financial markets experience, mainly in Australia, but also with time covering global and Asian listed equity markets. Tim provides financial analysis in the seaborne coal and electricity sectors for IEEFA, studying renewable energy & energy efficiency across Australia, China, India and Bangladesh, and the resulting risk of stranded fossil fuel assets in Australia. From 1998 to 2007 Tim held the position of Managing Director at Citigroup, and was Head of Australasian Equity Research from 2001. Tim was Head of Research for Deutsche Bank based in Singapore for 1996-1998. Tim was a highly rated conglomerates equity analyst for a decade prior to Singapore, culminating in being rated Australia’s top Industrial Analyst. Tim has published numerous financial papers, including “Remote Prospects: A Financial Analysis of Adani’ s coal gamble in Australia’s Galilee Basin”.
  • Teruyuki Ohno

    Executive Director, Renewable Energy Institute
    Before joining Renewable Energy Institute in August 2013, Teruyuki Ohno served as the Director General of the Bureau of Environment, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, for three years, covering a broad range of environmental issues including energy, climate change, waste management, pollution control, natural environment, and sustainable development. His notable achievements include reducing air pollution and PM emissions through “No Dirty Diesel Vehicle Strategy in Tokyo”, and implementing Japan’s first Cap-and-Trade Program in Tokyo in 2008, involving the industries and building a grand consensus. His active leadership in promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency has formed the foundation of Tokyo’s energy policy. He was awarded Haagen-Smit Clean Air Awards by California Air Resources Board in 2014. His latest publication is "Energy Strategies of Municipality Governments" (Iwanami, 2013, Japanese). He also serves as part-time lecturer at the University of Tokyo, and a member of Seoul International Energy Advisory Council (SIEAC).

    Shinichi Suzuki joined Mitsubishi Electric Corporation in 1982 and began working in the photovoltaic power systems business in 1995. He was appointed Secretary General of the Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association in June 2013 for a two-year term. He joined XSOL in July 2015 and took up his present post in August.

    Kazuyoshi Nasuhara joined Shimizu Corporation in 1981 and held following posts: Deputy Director Design Division, Deputy Director Mechanical & Electrical・BLC Division April 2014, Director ecoBCP Business Promotion Division April 2015, Executive Officer Base on his strong belief that the society does and will need environmental consideration (eco), business continuity planning (BCP), and life continuity planning (LCP), Mr. Nasuhara promotes eco-friendly and resilient community building through ecoBCP initiatives and technologies. He is actively driving to create new business with his vision toward sustainable society.

    Sustainability Management Division/Export/Import Administration,
    Sergio Kato joined Ricoh Company, Ltd. in 1982 after graduating from the faculty of Law of Waseda University.
    Since 1990, He has held a number of senior executive positions in Europe and Japan during his thirty-year career, as Sales executive of OEM business of Ricoh Europe, Vice President of Ricoh Italia Spa., Senior Vice President of Ricoh Europe.
    Since 2010, Kato had been General Manager of the company’s Global MDS Center (current Business Services Center). Since August 2013, he was General Manager of the Business Strategy Center of the Business Solutions Group.
    In April 2015, Kato was appointed to Corporate Vice President of Ricoh Company, Ltd. and General Manager of Sustainability Management Division and General Manager of Trade & Export/Import Control Division. In these roles, he manages the challenges and development of Ricoh’s Sustainability Management (CSR/Environment) with the slogan “Driving Sustainability for Our Future”.
