Appointment of a New Council Member

The Extraordinary Council Members' Meeting of Japan Renewable Energy Foundation has made the following decision to appoint a new council member;

Prof. Jinno specializes in public/local finance and taxation system and has got involved in local and national governments' discussions as the Chairperson of Tokyo Metropolitan Government Tax Commission and as an official commissioner of Japanese government's Tax Commission. Prof. Jinno has actively got involved in renewable energy policy from the viewpoint of promoting decentralized energies and facilitate sufficiency of energy production for regional autonomous, which coexistences with natural environment.
JREF also would like to announce that an incumbent counselor Prof. Kiyoshi Kurokawa has reigned due to his appointment as the chair of the special committee under the parliament, to investigate the accident of Tokyo Electric Power Co.'s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.
