Dr. Sven Teske originally developed the concept for a green utility and founded “Greenpeace energy eG”- Germany’s only cooperative in the power sector: Greenpeace Energy eG today employs 50 people and supplies 90,000 customers in Germany and Luxembourg with green electricity. He has been a member of the board since January 2000.
He is a publisher of over 30 special reports about renewable energies like the “Global Wind Energy Outlook” and “Solar Generation”.
He is a project leader for the World Energy Scenario “Energy [R]evolution: A sustainable World Energy Outlook”. The energy [r]evolution is an independently produced report that provides a practical blueprint for how to reduce global energy related CO2 emissions by up to 100%, while allowing for an increase in energy consumption by 2050.
Since January 2009 Dr.Teske has been a lead author for the new IPCC Special Report Renewables which has been published May 2011.
Dr. Sven Teske wrote his thesis about electricity grid modelling between 2011 and 2015 at the University of Flensburg.
